What areas do you cover?
Crawley is home. We cover Crawley, Horsham, Haywards Heath, East Grinstead, Burgess Hill, Reigate, Redhill, Dorking, Billingshurst and the Gatwick area. Further afield for the right job — just ask.
How much does a carpenter cost per day in Crawley?
South-East carpenter day rates sit around £250–£400 in 2026. We quote by the job where we can, day rate where we can't — and we give you the number up front, not a surprise at the end.
Are you insured?
Yes — full public liability insurance carried at all times. Happy to share the certificate before a job starts.
Do you install fire doors to regulation?
Yes. We install FD30 and FD60 fire doors to the manufacturer's data sheet — intumescent strips, smoke seals and gap tolerances inspected and photo-documented. Relevant if you're a landlord or HMO owner after the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
Can you do supply and fit, or fit-only?
Either. Plenty of clients already have their kitchen or doors on order and just need a clean fit. Plenty of others want us to price the lot — both work.
Do you work for main contractors?
Yes. We take first-fix and second-fix sub-contract work by day rate or by measure. We'll slot into your sequence and leave a tidy site.
What's the difference between a carpenter and a joiner?
Old-school: a joiner works in a workshop (makes stairs, doors, cabinetry), a carpenter works on-site (installs). We do both — which is why we say 'Carpenters & Joiners'.
How quickly can you start?
Depends on the job size. Small second-fix work we can usually start inside two weeks. Bigger builds — kitchens, decking, garden rooms — typically 3–6 weeks out. Ring us and we'll give you a straight answer.
Do you have reviews or a portfolio I can look at?

What's included in a quote?
Labour, materials (if supply-and-fit), rubbish removal, and a clear list of what's NOT included. No hidden extras. If we find something mid-job that changes the scope, we tell you before we do it — not after.
